This reference letter is from my camp supervisor:
To Whom It May Concern: Date: August 23rd 2013
...Rita held a leader position, which included supervising children ages 5 to 9 in recreation, classroom, and swim activities; in addition to assisting head instructors with all activities.
During her time with our program, Rita has shown strength in a number of areas. She has been extremely hands on with the kids and has been extremely helpful in running difficult lesson plans. She has also been extremely flexible and agreeing when taking on special needs children for multiple weeks in a row. Rita’s peers find her extremely kind and patient with her number one strength being creativity. In addition to her behaviour, she is always early for work and prepared for any activity.
Overall Rita Abou Gharib has been a wonderful employee and I encourage you to consider her for the job position in question. With her creativity and determination, I believe she can tackle anything she sets her mind too...

This letter is from my Teachers Associate from my first round of student teaching:
To Whom It May Concern: Date: June 13th, 2012
...This evaluation will focus on professionalism, communication, planning and teaching.
Rita has shown a high degree of professionalism in her dealing with staff members and colleagues. Ms. Gharib arrives on time, is professionally dressed and willingly volunteered an entire day of her personal time to help students prepare for provincial exams. We enjoyed her contribution to our assembly, her reflections on the blog, and often say Ms. Gharib discussing observations/teaching ideas with her peers at lunch. Rita is open to suggestions and new ideas and welcomes professional advice from others.
Ms. Gharib shows wonderful communication skills with adults and children. She is a warm and caring person and communicates openly and on the students’ level. Rita even had success eliciting speech from two of out “selective mute” students. Part of Ms. Gharib’s Success is that she makes every effort to get to know students personally, makes them feel special and works hard to see that students have success with their activities. In the short time Rita has been at the school, she has easily built a genuine rapport with the students.
Ms. Gharib is very intuitive, quickly picking up one student’s strengths and needs and uses this information to help her plan and teach interesting and motivating lessons. Rita has worked 1-1, small/large group, and helped both remediate and extend students. She was well prepared for her micro-teaching, had books, questions, groups and activities all planned and ready to go.
The students enjoyed dramatizing the Fable so much that they asked to keep going, change one element and create their own versions! Rita has good control when working with students and uses positive reinforcement to encourage desired behaviour.
It has been a privilege to work with Rita, I would highly recommend her for admission as Ms. Gharib has demonstrated all the qualities necessary for becoming a wonderful teacher and would be an asset to the teaching profession.
